Thoughts

Eileen and I started work at TTTV in the 1980s and we worked together on many productions. Whatever job she undertook, she did well and with enthusiasm. She was easy to work with and she valued others who worked hard. Eileen was down to earth and got the balance right between getting the job done and not taking it all too seriously. She was ambitious and achieved much in her working life but she also enjoyed life to the full outside of work. She was enthusiastic about every aspect of her life and I will remember her as a loyal colleague and valued friend. Her bravery in the face of her illness was inspiring. I will think of her scuba diving and dancing the night away with Ron. She had much life in her years. Thank you, Eileen. XX Carole and Alistair McKenzie

Eileen was a wonderful colleague and an instrumental manager. She trusted peoples judgment and trusted those around her. I will never forget working with her at Tyne Tees TV from the early days in programs and in the end setting up the SignPost unit both in City Road and Gateshead. Eileen was warm hearted and generous as a person and as a manger we will always miss her infectious personality. I for one feel very privileged to have worked and known Eileen over all those years.

We are blessed to have had Eileen and Ron in our lives for so many years. The four of us have had such wonderful adventures together, and had planned so much more. Eileen lived life with gusto and fun. She seized every opportunity and met any challenge with courage and determination. Her approach to life was inspirational and we’ve been amazed many times by her resilience and fortitude, continuing to be brave, funny and strong. There will be a massive gap in our lives now but she will live in our hearts forever. Kevin and Christine
