We first met 5 November 1981 at the Swan Public House in Gateshead. After walking Eileen home that night we had arranged to meet the following night at 19:30. I showed up an hour late after trying several doors in the neighbourhood to be told noone by the name Eileen lives here. Transpires her Dad's homebrew from the night before was fairly potent. Eventually finding the right house we head to the local pub where I but the drinks then proceed to be ill, that homebrew was definetly potent.

After that not so great start we were engaged Xmas eve and married a few months later on May 1 1982 and had what i beleive was a terrific time together. Yes, some down bits as in all marriages, but they were few and the ups were really ups.

Were we the perfect couple, no, but we were perfect together.

I loved her then, I love her now, I will always love her.
