Eileen and I first met when she joined TTTv in the early 80s. We became great mates and spent many an evening together in the Egypt Cottage. On my return to my homeland in 2007 it would have been easy for us to lose touch - but not Eileen. She made the trip up to Aberdeenshire many times for a weekend. We also often met up in Edinburgh or Glasgow for a get together, but it’s our European jaunts that I treasure most. Over the years we visited Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bari, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dubrovnik, Florence, Krakow, Lisbon, Pisa, Ravenna, Sorrento, Tenerife,Venice and Vienna. We also went to some concerts together seeing Elbow, Take That, Robbie Williams, Billy Joel, The Killers and Snow Patrol. Oh what fun and laughs we had. Life won’t be the same without her. xx
